Genesis

Genesis, Battersea was a retail fit out within Battersea Power Station. The project consisted of specialist ceilings, partitions, concrete paneling, Corten steel paneling, joinery, decorations.

The project was in the recently developed Battersea Power Station. Our works overlapped with the finalisation of base build construction, which caused a number of logistical difficulties. As part of the Battersea Power Station re-development a large section was dedicated to retail floor space, in which various other contractors were fitting out at the same time.

Some of the key features in this project included the installation and coordination of high end specialist products such as Corten Steel Panels imported from Texas, fragile concrete panels imported from France and specialist bespoke ceilings.

There were numerous challenges with this project, this started with an aggressive programme and tight time frame. Lead in times for specialist products leading to shorter durations to complete the work. Frequent design changes lead to increased man power and associated logistical problems.
